Kenrokuen is classified as one of Japan’s “three most beautiful landscape gardens”. It is located in the center of Kanazawa city. In 1676 (4th year of Enpou), Maeda Tsunekaki built his own villa “Lentigoten” near Kanazawa Castle, and made a garden around it. That is the beginning of Kenrokuen.
What is the Kenrokuen?
Kenrokuen combines the six attributes of a perfect garden, variety of ponds, streams, hills, groves, flower gardens, and several pavilions and tea houses. Roku means six and En means a park. It has seasonal faces. The change will blow your mind.
