Kiyomizu Temple is a temple with an old history from the beginning of Heian Shuto (794) and is also registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (1994 · Culture of ancient Kyoto). There is a famous line about Kiyomizu Temple.
「Jump off the stage of Kiyomizu」
This was not just a proverb, in fact there were 234 cases of people jumping from the stage at Kiyomizu which occurred between 1694 and 1864. It was said that Kiyomizu Temple had a stage that was made to protrude off the cliff and it was thought that a person who jumped was able to go to buddha. Therefore, many people jumped. In 1872, the government issued a jumping ban and issued measures to raise a fence.
Patrolling in the Womb
You can Tainai Meguri at Zuikudo. This means patrolling in the womb like exploring a cave.
Entering there, and then you can find the stone in the darkness, stroke it gentally and pray for safe delivery.
